Peeled, cored, and chopped two big apples

1 and a half cups of regular flour

Quarter cup of sugar, granulated

Quarter cup of brown sugar

Two tablespoons of baking soda

1.5 tablespoons of cinnamon powder

half a teaspoon of salt

2.5 cups of milk

2 gently whisked eggs

2-tbsp melted unsalted butter

1-tsp. vanilla essence

If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Here are the directions:

Lightly oil a baking sheet and set oven temperature to 350°F, or 175°C.

In a large basin, combine the flour, brown and granulated sugars, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate dish and whisk to combine.

Combine the wet and dry components by gently folding them into each other. Toss in the apple dice.

Distribute the batter evenly on the prepared baking sheet by dropping 1/4 cupfuls.

Set and brown after 15-20 minutes in the oven. Allow to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.

Optionally, dust with powdered sugar just before serving.

Tips and Variations:

Use the apple kind that your pickiest eater loves.

For crunch, add almonds. If you’re looking for a dairy-free option, try almond or oat milk.

To add some heat to the batter, try adding some nutmeg or allspice.
