Ingredients:
- 2 large apples, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 can Pillsbury cinnamon roll dough
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, additional
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- Add apples, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and water to a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 2 minutes then drain. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Cut each cinnamon roll into 6 slices and add to the cooled apples. Gently toss to combine.
- Transfer dough to the prepared pan.
- Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and additional cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Pour butter mixture over the dough, then bake for 25-28 minutes.
- Drizzle with the cinnamon roll frosting if desired.
